Albert Einstein once said, “The important thing is not to stop questioning. Curiosity has its own reason for existing.” For Jazz Tobaccowalla, this quote encapsulates the driving force behind his career: an intense curiosity to pursue the unpursued. While disruption and change may unsettle others, they energize him. He is particularly fascinated by the challenge of making technology a true differentiator for organizations.

Jazz’s career has been defined by leading and managing transformative change across global enterprises. One of his earliest lessons came from his first job on a help desk, where he learned the importance of getting things right the first time to protect those on the front lines. This principle has guided him throughout his journey—from managing IT for international markets to serving as CIO and CDO, and holding CEO/Managing Director roles on the boards of two publicly listed companies.

He has consistently been at the forefront of the digital revolution. Early in his career, Jazz led an e-business initiative in the early 2000s, and has since held executive and general management roles across the U.S., Europe, and Asia. His work has spanned established and emerging markets in digital transformation, infrastructure/cloud, cybersecurity, and pharmaceuticals. Along the way, he developed a broad expertise that extends beyond technology to encompass sales, marketing, and full P&L ownership.

Today, Jazz is passionate about serving as a strategic leader and trusted advisor to the organizations and boards he supports. He approaches each transformation with curiosity grounded in pragmatism and a results-driven mindset. What he values most is the legacy of sustainable, recognizable change created by the teams he has led and built. He welcomes opportunities to connect with others who share his passion for what’s possible.

AI May Not Steal Many Jobs After All

The experience at some companies suggests that AI may not prove to be the job killer that many people fear. Similar to breakthroughs of the past like the steam engine, electricity, the Internet, it may eliminate some jobs while creating others. And probably making workers more productive in general, to the eventual benefit of themselves, their employers, and the economy.
